A Section 8 Company is a non-profit registered under the Companies Act 2013 for charitable, educational, religious, scientific or social-welfare purposes. It cannot pay dividends and must apply all profits towards its objectives. Section 8 is preferred over Trust or Society for transparency, FCRA fundraising eligibility, and recognition by CSR donors. FilingLab handles MCA filing plus prepares your 12A and 80G applications for income-tax exemption.
Everything required for Section 8 (NGO) Company Registration. Government statutory fees (MCA stamp duty, trademark filing fee, etc.) are charged at actual cost and shown separately before payment.

Once registered under Section 12A, the company's surplus applied to charitable objects is exempt from income tax.
80G certification lets donors claim income-tax deductions, making the Section 8 Company far more attractive for fundraising.
MCA registration and audited accounts give Section 8 Companies stronger governance credibility with grant-makers, CSR funders and government bodies.
A Section 8 Company can be incorporated without any prescribed minimum paid-up capital, lowering the barrier for new non-profits.
It need not add Limited or Private Limited to its name, reinforcing its non-profit identity while retaining corporate status.

Section 8 is registered with MCA (central regulator), has corporate-grade compliance, and is preferred by CSR donors. Trusts are registered under state Trust Acts (less transparent). Societies are registered under the Societies Act (state-level, less recognised).
A Section 8 Company can earn revenue but cannot distribute profits to members — all surplus must go back to the charitable objects.
Not in the base package. FCRA is required only if you receive foreign donations and is filed separately after 3 years of operation. We handle FCRA at ₹14,999 + govt fees.
Provisional 80G is granted in 2 weeks of application. Permanent 80G is issued after the IT department reviews 6 months of operations and books.
